Me, Myself & Autism

Autism In Mind is a post-diagnostic service commissioned by Sunderland Clinical Commissioning Group to support autistic adults living in Sunderland, who do not have a learning disability.

Me, Myself & Autism is part of our post diagnostic pathway.

Our low-level preventative support model aims to provide autistic people with the support and guidance needed to navigate everyday life.

We aim to:
Connect with individuals
Support their needs
Prevent crisis (crisis for an autistic person can be when they find themselves faced with a task or a life event which is too overwhelming or seems too great for them to handle in that moment).

Our offer:

Practical Support – we offer solution focused support (support making phone calls and appointments, connecting with professionals, supporting effective communication, housing issues or problems).

Emotional Support – we provide a safe environment in which to share personal concerns and worries with people who understand life from an autistic perspective.

Peer support – we have peer-led support groups on both Facebook and Discord. We also hold games nights and social opportunities.
