Our Connect Support Prevent sessions are open to autistic adults, without a learning disability, both pre and post diagnosis.
Referrals can be made by either:
Self-refer: which means contacting us yourself
be referred by another service or agency: which means someone contacts us on your behalf
Once a referral has been made we will contact you to arrange an initial meeting
At that meeting, we can chat with you, assess your needs and establish if AIM is the right service for you

Connect Support Prevent Sessions
Connect Support Prevent sessions in Sunderland are held weekly at AIM House.
At these sessions individuals can discuss any issues or concerns they may be having.
Members can either drop-in or arrange a one to one appointment.
We connect with autistic adults and offer an autism friendly environment where individuals can be themselves and reduce social isolation.
We can support autistic adults with any challenges they are facing in their lives; including support with:
• Independent living skills
• Making phone calls
• Writing letters and emails
• Housing issues or problems
• Connecting with other professionals in their lives; supporting effective communication
Our AIM is to provide preventative support so that individuals don not find themselves in crisis situations.
Connect, Support, Prevent for Women
Autistic ladies both pre and post diagnosis are welcome to come along and enjoy the company of other autistic ladies in a safe and welcoming environment.

Autistic parents are able to drop-in for support and information.
